My name is Laura and I am a professionally qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor with a qualification from The Counselling Foundation. I offer a quiet space in person or online to reflect and think about what is going on in your life currently.
I have previous experience of supporting bereaved clients in the charitable sector and have worked in the higher education environment for 18 years.
Thinking in therapy can offer a deeply enriching experience as we begin to explore who you are, where you have come from, childhood, obstacles or traumas you may have faced and what makes you think and feel as you do currently. Therapy can provide the tools necessary to understand yourself better and provide some insight into repeating patterns, how you came to be where you are in your life and the possibilities to move forward with new knowledge and peace of mind to navigate the challenges that you may face. Therapy is a journey and I endeavour to support you on it and through it until you begin to feel a little more like you.
I am a registered member of the BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work within their guidelines, operating a confidential counselling service, working ethically within their framework so that you have peace of mind that everything discussed and shared remains confidential within the counselling space.
